Paul Ince states bold prediction for Crystal Palace v Man United
Paul Ince is tipping Manchester United to win the FA Cup if their younger players can hold their nerve
Paul Ince has warned Manchester United that Crystal Palace will fancy their chances of causing an upset and winning the FA Cup at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils will look to make up for the disappointment of missing out on a top-four finish by winning their first piece of silverware since 2013.
However, Alan Pardew’s side have been focussing on the FA Cup for much of the season to the detriment of their Premier League campaign.
United were 2-0 winners in their top-flight meeting at Old Trafford earlier this year, while the sides played out a goalless draw at Selhurst Park.
Former United midfielder Ince believes Louis van Gaal’s side should win if the younger members of their squad aren’t affected by nerves on the day at Wembley.
“I’d like to say Manchester United but I think it will be an entertaining game,” Ince told William Hill.
“It is a hard one to call. My heart says Manchester United but it won’t be easy. Crystal Palace will fancy themselves.
“They’ve loads of pace. They’ve got players that can make things happen.”
