Petr Cech posts heartfelt Twitter message for Arsenal pair

Petr Cech sends tweets to Arsenal midfielders Mikel Arteta and Mathieu Flamini

Petr Cech posted a series of tweets paying tribute to Mikel Arteta and Tomas Rosicky after the end of their respective Arsenal careers on Sunday afternoon.

The former Everton midfielder was handed a two-minute cameo at the Emirates Stadium as Arteta replaced club-record signing Mesut Ozil in the final moments of their 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The Czech Republic goalkeeper’s compatriot Rosicky didn’t make an appearance against the Villains as the 33-year-old called time on a 10-year career at the north London club following his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2006.

And Cech, who joined Arsenal in an £11m deal from London rivals Chelsea last summer, posted messages for the departing pair after Sunday’s final Premier League of the season.
