Mesut Ozil made the most of a few days off before beginning Germany’s Euro 2016 preparations.

The Arsenal midfielder wasted no time jetting off to Dubai with some friends after Sunday’s 4-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The Gunners’s emphatic home win secured a second-place finish above their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Ozil scored six times and made 19 assists in 35 Premier League games in an impressive campaign for the World Cup winner.

And the 27-year-old enjoyed some nice food in Dubai on Monday night ahead of linking up with Joachim Low’s Germany squad.

Ozil wrote on his Instagram page: “Just a few days off before #Euro2016 preparations. Dinner with friends in Dubai/ Nobu – Atlantis The Palm 🌴☺✌ #Dubai #food”

Ozil has been linked with a move to Serie A champions Juventus in recent days after a mixed campaign for the Gunners.

The club-record £42.5m signing has just over a year remaining on his Arsenal contract after moving to The Emirates in 2013.
