Harry Kane may be a hero to thousands of Tottenham Hotspur supporters, but the England striker met some idols of his own on Thursday afternoon.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed another brilliant Premier League campaign after an impressive return of 25 goals in 37 top-flight appearances.

However, Kane was unable to inspire Spurs to their first-ever Premier League title after a 2-2 draw with Chelsea handed the crown to Leicester City earlier this month.

But Kane was refusing to be downbeat as the Three Lions striker met some young heroes at Hotspur Way on Thursday afternoon ahead of Sunday’s trip to Newcastle United.

Kane wrote on his Instagram page: “It was great to meet some young heroes after training today!”

Tottenham are 10 points behind Premier League champions Leicester after a 2-1 defeat by Southampton at White Hart Lane last weekend.

However, Spurs can still finish above Arsenal for the first time in Premier League history if the Lilywhites avoid defeat by the Magpies.
