Jon Flanagan wishes Jordan Rossiter good luck after the Liverpool midfielder joins Rangers
Jon Flanagan paid tribute to Jordan Rossiter after the Liverpool midfielder agreed a deal to join Rangers on Friday.
The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal with the newly-promoted Scottish Premier League side.
Rossiter has been limited to just one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season after an injury-hit campaign.
The England Under-19 international made a further five first-team appearances in cup competitions.
And Liverpool full-back Flanagan admitted that he would miss having his friend around the Merseyside club after his Rangers transfer was confirmed on Friday.
Flanagan wrote on his Instagram page: “Sad to see this lad go, but I’d like to wish him all the best with his next chapter. Top lad and top player, Good luck lad 👍🏼👌🏼”
Liverpool will make the trip to West Brom on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday before taking on defending champions Sevilla in the Europa League final next Wednesday.
Rangers won this season’s Scottish Championship to gain promotion to the Premiership and will face Hibernian in the Scottish Cup final on 21 May.
