Bastian Schweinsteiger poses for a selfie with Holger Badstuber on Monday

Bastian Schweinsteiger hung out with Bayern Munich defender Holger Badstuber on Monday afternoon as the Germany pair caught up ahead of Euro 2016.

The Red Devils midfielder is hoping to be fit for the European championship this summer after missing the end of the Premier League season through injury.

Badstuber has only just returned from a broken leg which left the centre-half sidelined since February as Bayern won the Bundesliga title.

However, the crocked Germany duo were in high spirits ahead of their return to competitive action as Schweinsteiger looked to forget about the ongoing drama at Old Trafford.

The United midfielder posted the above photo and wrote on the photo-sharing app: 2Great to see you again, @hbadstuber28! 😀”

Schweinsteiger moved to the Red Devils in a £6.7m deal from Bundesliga holders Bayern last summer, ending his long affiliation with the Bavarian club.
