Mesut Ozil made the most of the London weather and enjoyed a barbecue on Friday afternoon ahead of Arsenal’s final game of the Premier League season this weekend.

The Germany international has been Arsene Wenger’s most-consistent player in an otherwise disappointing 2015/16 campaign for the north London side.

Ozil, however, looks set to be rewarded for his fine form with a new £200,000-a-week contract as Arsenal look to deter any potential suitors.

The 27-year-old put a friend to work on the barbecue on Friday afternoon as Ozil enjoyed some downtime before the visit of Aston Villa on Sunday.

Ozil posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “Barbecue expert at work! 😉😎🍴🍽🌮 #grill #bbq #food”

The World Cup winner has scored six times and has made 18 assists in the Premier League this season.
