Mesut Ozil was giving nothing away about his holiday plans before the Arsenal midfielder links up with Germany this summer.

The 27-year-old headed to Dubai earlier this week to relax with some friends after Arsenal’s 4-0 victory over Aston Villa wrapped up second place in the Premier League table.

However, Ozil teased Arsenal supporters with a mystery Instagram post from the comfort of a private jet as the Gunners star prepared to jet off to his next location.

“Thanks for having me, #Dubai! Maybe I’ll come back soon.👋 But now we’re off to our next destination. Guess where we are going … 👍😉✈ #lafamilia”

It transpired that Ozil was in fact heading to Jordan to do some charity work ahead of Germany’s bid to win the European championship in France this summer.

The Arsenal club-record signing has been linked with a move to Serie A champions Juventus in recent days as the midfielder’s contract trickles into its final year.
