Mousa Dembele sends Instagram message to Tottenham Hotspur fans

Mousa Dembele has promised Tottenham Hotspur supporters that Spurs will come back even stronger next season.

The Lilywhites endured a disappointing end to the 2015/16 Premier League campaign in what was an otherwise positive season for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Spurs finished without a Premier League win in four games after a shocking 5-1 defeat by relegated Rafael Benitez’s relegated Newcastle United side on the final day of the season.

Their humiliation at St James’s Park allowed Arsenal to hoist themselves above Tottenham and into second place as Spurs squandered the chance to finish above their north London rivals for the first time in 21 years.

However, Tottenham midfielder Dembele was in bullish mood as the Belgium midfielder issued a rallying cry to the players and supporters ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Dembele wrote: “A huge thank you to all the @spursofficial supporters. Your support is amazing. We will be back stronger than ever next year 👏 #CL #coys”

The 28-year-old scored three goals and made one assist in 29 Premier League games for the north London side in their impressive 2015/16 season.
