Marko Grujic wanders around Liverpool's streets ahead of summer move
Marko Grujic explored his new city on Thursday afternoon ahead of the midfielder’s permanent move to Liverpool.
The Serbian teenager agreed a deal to join the 18-time English champions in the January transfer window after Liverpool paid Red Star Belgrade £5.1m to acquire the exciting prospect’s services.
The 20-year-old remained on loan with his boyhood club until the end of the 2015/16 season, winning the Serbian league crown.
Grujic was sat in the stands on Wednesday night as Christian Benteke cancelled out Eden Hazard’s opener to rescure a late 1-1 draw for the Reds in front of their home supporters.
And the new Liverpool signing posted a photo of his day venturing around city’s streets before he links up with Jurgen Klopp’s squad in the summer.
Grujic posted the above photo and wrote: “Beautiful day 🔝☑️😎☀️🇬🇧”
The 20-year-old playmaker was bestowed with the honour of captain Red Star on Saturday afternoon for their clash against Vojvodina just days after winning the Serbian league title.
While Grujic couldn’t inspire his boyhood club to victory, the Serbian starlet did score a superb solo goal to net what ultimately proved a consolation in a 3-1 defeat.
