Liverpool midfielder Roberto Firmino reflects on his first season at Anfield
Roberto Firmino paid tribute to the Liverpool supporters as the Brazilian midfielder reflected on his first season at Anfield.
The 24-year-old played his part in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League on Wednesday night in what was the last home fixture of the domestic campaign.
Firmino is currently the Reds’s top goal-scorer in the league after a return of 10 goals and seven assists in 31 Premier League games for the Merseyside outfit this term.
The South American became Liverpool’s third most-expensive signing of all-time last summer after Jurgen Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers signed Firmino in a £29m deal from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim.
And the Liverpool midfielder seemed pretty content with his debut season after he posted the above photo on Instagram and wrote the following caption on the photo-sharing app:
“🔺Família Liverpool 🔺 #ynwa Last home game yesterday✔️ Thankstoall @liverpoolfc for your support this season ✔️”
Firmino and Liverpool still have a Europa League final against Sevilla to look forward to against Sevilla in Basel next Wednesday.
