Steven Gerrard sends message to Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool squad

Steven Gerrard is hoping that Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool squad will be celebrating Europa League glory on Wednesday night.

The Reds finished their Premier League campaign with a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday evening after Jordon Ibe scored at The Hawthorns.

One of Liverpool’s most-memorable games of the season was undoubtedly their 5-4 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road as Adam Lallana’s late winner sparked wild scenes.

And former Reds captain Gerrard posted the above photo of Klopp and his squad celebrating the midfielder’s dramatic added-time winner.

The 35-year-old wished Liverpool good luck ahead of Wednesday night’s Europa League final against Sevilla in Basel.

Gerrard posted the above photo and wrote on his Instagram page: “Love this picture 😂😂😂👏.. Let’s hope there are similar scenes in Basle Wednesday 😉”

Liverpool haven’t won Europe’s second-tier competition since Gerrard scored in the Reds’s dramatic 5-4 victory over Alaves in the Uefa Cup final in Dortmund in 2001.
