Piers Morgan sends message to Tottenham on behalf of Arsenal

Piers Morgan thanks Tottenham Hotspur for choking on the final day of the season

Piers Morgan has sent a message of thanks to Tottenham Hotspur after Arsenal extended their run of finishing above Spurs following a dramatic final day of the Premier League season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side needed to secure just a point against relegated Newcastle United at St James’s Park on Sunday and Rafael Benitez’s side were 5-1 winners against the Lilywhites.

Arsenal seized their chance to hoist themselves above Tottenham and finish in second place after a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Outspoken Gunners shareholder Morgan was quick to take to Twitter to send a message to Spurs following their embarrassing defeat against the Magpies on the final day of the season.

Tottenham have failed to win a Premier League game since a 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

The Lilywhites lost 2-1 to Southampton in their last Premier League game at White Hart Lane before Sunday’s 5-1 defeat by Newcastle.
