Ray Parlour offers West Ham target advice over Arsenal future
Ray Parlour is hoping Theo Walcott can ressurect Arsenal and England prospects
Ray Parlour has offered Theo Walcott some advice amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding his long-term Arsenal future.
The England international has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot in Arsene Wenger’s first-team over the course of the 2015/16 season.
Walcott, who moved to Arsenal from Southampton in 2006, has been linked with a shock summer move to the Gunners’s London rivals West Ham United in recent weeks.
Former Gunners midfielder Parlour admits Walcott has some big decisions to make about his future but hopes the 26-year-old fights to save his Arsenal career.
“I know Theo well and he is a good lad I am just hoping he can get that opportunity but then again his big decisions that Theo has got to make is if he is going to stay at Arsenal fight for his position or go somewhere else and play on a regular basis which gives him a lot more opportunity to play on a regular basis for England,” Parlour told BetSafe.
Walcott has scored five goals and has made two assists in 28 Premier League appearances for the north London outfit in the 2015/16 season.
However, of the England striker’s 28 league games, Walcott has started just 15 after falling behind Danny Welbeck, Olivier Giroud and Alexis Sanchez in the pecking order.
Arsenal will host Aston Villa in the final game of their Premier League season.
