Rio Ferdinand reacts on Twitter to Arsenal’s 4-0 win, Tottenham’s 5-1 loss

Rio Ferdinand delivers his verdict on Arsenal and Tottenham's seasons

Rio Ferdinand says Tottenham Hotspur should be pleased with a great season and Arsenal supporters should be happy with finishing above their north London rivals.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Lilywhites side required just a point to secure second place and a finish above Arsenal for the first time in the Premier League era.

However, Spurs lost 5-1 to Newcastle United at St James’s Park to finish the Premier League season with a three-game winless run since a 2-2 draw at Chelsea earlier this month.

Arsenal hoisted themselves above Tottenham and into second place thanks to a 4-0 victory over Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium in their final game of the season.

Former Manchester United defender Ferdinand delivered his thoughts on the respective campaigns for Arsenal and Tottenham after a dramatic conclusion to the season.
