Thierry Henry believes that Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be an instant success if he signed for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements as they prepare for their first season under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Ibrahimovic has been strongly linked with a transfer to Old Trafford in recent weeks after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired.

Mourinho is understood to be a keen admirer of the Sweden international, who he worked with during his time in charge of Inter Milan.

And former Arsenal captain Henry feels that Ibrahimovic would be a quick success at Old Trafford should he join United this summer on a free transfer.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday afternoon, Henry said: “It would be a no-brainer to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“When he goes on the field, he’s an animal but out of it he’s a class act and so professional.

“He’d be a big success for Manchester United.”
