Thierry Henry: What Arsenal must do differently next season

Thierry Henry sets Arsenal a challenge ahead of the 2016/17 season

Thierry Henry says Arsenal need to put together a sustained Premier League title bid next season.

The Gunners were touted as title favourites in December and January before the north London side experienced a downturn in their Premier League form.

Arsenal lost to Southampton on Boxing Day before Arsene Wenger’s side suffered successive Premier League defeats by Manchester United and Swansea City in February and March to all but end their title challenge.

The Gunners ultimately finished 10 points behind newly-crowned Premier League champions Leicester despite beating the Foxes home and away in the top flight this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports on Sunday afternoon, Arsenal legend Henry challenged the Gunners squad to actually launch a sustained title challenge next season after another disappointing campaign.

“Can you build on what has been done? Can you be a force? It isn’t even a force. It is actually battle for the title for a little while. Not just one or two months but the whole season,” Henry said.
