Alvaro Morata provides Arsenal, Man United transfer update
Juventus striker Alvaro Morata addresses his future amid talk of Arsenal and Man United transfer
Alvaro Morata says he would be sad to leave Juventus this summer amid speculation linking the striker with a move to the Premier League.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Spain international since the 2015/16 came to an end.
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is thought to be keen to bolster his attacking options following Danny Welbeck’s long-term injury.
Jose Mourinho, meanwhile, is hoping to add more attacking flair to his United side following his appointment last month.
However, Real Madrid are thought to be favourites to re-sign their youth product after Morata moved to the Serie A champions from The Bernabeu in 2014.
Juve striker Morata discussed his future beyond the end of the summer, insisting that he would be sad to leave the Turin side.
“I heard from my agent and he said that the meeting with Real Madrid was purely to discuss Diego Llorente, so they didn’t talk about my situation,” Morata told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I can’t say much to the Juve fans, I’m sorry, but that’s the way it is. I don’t know what the future holds for me.”
Arsenal and United target Morata has scored 15 times in 63 games for the Serie A champions during two seasons in Turin.
