Arsenal and Chelsea given hope of signing Borussia Dortmund playmaker – report
Arsenal and Chelsea have reportedly been given hope of signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund this summer
Arsenal and Chelsea have been given fresh hope in their reported interest in signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to reports.
Both of the London clubs have been touted as possible destinations for the Armenia international as the Premier League outfits look to strengthen their squads in the summer transfer window.
Mkhitaryan’s contract with the Bundesliga side is set to expire next summer, and Metro is now reporting that the 27-year-old is refusing to sign a new deal with his current employers.
That news could be a significant boost for the Premier League clubs interested in his signature, as Dortmund are likely to want to move him on rather than let him leave on a free transfer next summer.
He enjoyed a sparkling season for Dortmund last term, scoring 18 goals in all competitions and making 20 assists for his team-mates.
Arsenal have already secured the signing of Granit Xhaka this summer.
