Arsenal and Chelsea transfer target issues huge wage demands – report
Alvaro Morata wants to earn at least £6m a year if he switches clubs, say reports
Alvaro Morata has told both Arsenal and Chelsea that he wants to earn at least £6m a year, no matter which club he joins, according to reports.
The Spain striker has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Premier League in recent weeks, with both the Blues and the Gunners said to be keen on luring him away from Juventus.
It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will activate the buy-back clause in Morata’s Juve contract with the intention of then selling him on at a profit.
Arsenal are thought to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements as Arsene Wenger bids to revamp his squad, while a new forward is said to be high on Antonio Conte’s list of priorities.
Now, the Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Morata will demand at least £6m a year in wages if he does enter into negotiations with Arsenal or Chelsea.
