Arsenal blow as Juventus target £35m striker to replace Alvaro Morata – report
Juventus are targeting Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez as a replacement for Alvaro Morata, according to reports
Arsenal have suffered a blow after Juventus made Alexis Sanchez their top target ahead of the anticipated departure of Alvaro Morata this summer, according to Telelombardia.
The Serie A champions are facing a battle to keep hold of Morata amid interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
Sanchez, who has been linked with a return to Spain in recent months, joined the Gunners in a £35m deal from Barcelona in 2014 and quickly established himself as a key part of Arsene Wenger’s side.
According to Telelombardia as quoted by Eurosport, Juventus have approached Sanchez’s agent over a potential deal for the Chile international in what will be a concern for Arsenal supporters.
Sanchez, 27, has scored 42 times in 93 games in all competitions for the north London side since his big-money move to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona in 2014.
