Arsenal given deadline to make second summer signing – report

Arsenal have until 1 July to sign Ricardo Rodriguez this summer, according to reports

Arsenal have been told that they will need to trigger Ricardo Rodriguez’s release clause by 1 July if they want to sign him this summer, according to reports.

The north London side have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Arsenal have already secured the signing of Granit Xhaka as Wenger moved quickly to add to his midfield options at The Emirates.

Rodriguez, 23, has been touted as a possible target for the north London side as Wenger looks to shore up his defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

However, Metro is now reporting that the Gunners will have until 1 July to trigger the player’s release clause if they want to sign him this summer.
