Arsenal legend Thierry Henry: My thoughts on Chelsea’s Eden Hazard
Thierry Henry discusses why he is such a big fan of Eden Hazard
Thierry Henry has admitted that he is a huge fan of Eden Hazard, despite his stuttering form for Chelsea and Belgium.
The 25-year-old playmaker came in for plenty of criticism last season as he struggled for both form and fitness during the campaign for Chelsea.
He showed signs of improvement towards the end of the Premier League campaign but was unable to prevent Belgium from slipping to a 2-0 defeat by Italy in their Euro 2016 opener on Monday night.
Hazard has been relentlessly linked with a transfer away from Chelsea in recent weeks, with Real Madrid said to be interested.
The player himself insists that he is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge and prove himself under new manager Antonio Conte.
And Arsenal legend Henry admits that he is keen admirer of the former Lille star.
Henry is quoted as saying by Metro: “He reminds me when I was young.
“When I used to play a video game I used to give the ball to the best player and just let him run.
“It’s just crazy what he can do, I think that goal against Tottenham gave him a massive boost to do what he’s doing at the moment with Belgium in the game before the Euros.”
