Arsenal open talks to make star striker Arsene Wenger’s second signing – report

Arsenal want to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton this summer, according to reports

Arsenal have opened talks about the possibility of signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton this summer, according to reports.

The Gunners have been linked with a host of players as Arsene Wenger bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

Arsenal have already signed Granit Xhaka and have tabled a bid to bring Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy to The Emirates.

Now, Transfermarketweb is reporting that the north London side have turned their attentions to Lukaku after seemingly missing out on Vardy.

The same report goes on to say that Lukaku could end up being out of Arsenal’s price range, with Everton said to value the forward at around £65m.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in re-signing their former striker in the summer transfer window in recent weeks.
