Arsenal plan summer transfer bid for PSG superstar – report

Arsenal are pondering a summer transfer swoop to bring Edinson Cavani to the club, say reports

Arsenal are pondering a big-money bid to bring Edinson Cavani to the club from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to reports.

The north London club are believed to be on the lookout to sign attacking reinforcements during the current transfer window and have bid for Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.

The England international is yet to make a decision about his future and is unlikely to decide before the end of Euro 2016.

Now, the Daily Express is reporting that Arsenal are considering making a transfer bid to sign Uruguay international Cavani, who has recently rejected a big-money move to China.

The report says that the striker is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain and wants to play in England, which is likely to interest Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The forward scored 19 Ligue 1 goals in 32 games last season for PSG.
