Arsenal ready summer transfer bid to sign Man United star – report

Arsenal could be set to make a swoop to sign Daley Blind from Manchester United, say reports

Arsenal are lining up a surprise bid to sign Daley Blind from Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

Arsene Wenger is currently on the lookout for reinforcements as he bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

Blind’s future at Old Trafford has been a source of speculation since Jose Mourinho’s appointment as the club’s new manager last month.

It has been suggested that the Dutchman does not fit into Mourinho’s profile for a defender and that he could be willing to offload him this summer.

Now, the Daily Mirror is reporting that Wenger is keen to bring Blind to The Emirates because he feels that he could fill a number of positions at Arsenal.

Mourinho signalled his intention to bolster his defensive options at Old Trafford earlier in the month as he signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

Blind was in good form in an unorthodox centre-half role along with Chris Smalling for United last season.
