Arsenal transfer target wants to leave club this summer – report

Ricardo Rodriguez could be set to join Arsenal from Wolfsburg this summer, say reports

Ricardo Rodriguez wants to leave Wolfsburg this summer amid speculation that he could join Granit Xhaka at Arsenal, the German club’s sporting director Klaus Allofs has confirmed.

The Gunners are thought to still be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Arsene Wenger bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

Xhaka became Arsenal’s first signing of the summer last month as he joined the Gunners to bolster their midfield options.

His Switzerland team-mate Rodriguez has also been heavily linked with a move to The Emirates in recent weeks.

Now, Wolfsburg chief Allofs has appeared to indicate that left-back Rodriguez could be set to leave the Bundesliga club this summer ahead of a possible move to the north London club.

Allofs is quoted as saying by Metro: “As we have recently gathered, it was clear. His idea is to leave us.”
