Arsenal want to sign Marseille striker after Jamie Vardy snub – report
Arsenal are interested in signing Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer, according to reports
Arsenal will turn their attentions towards signing Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer after Jamie Vardy’s apparent snub, according to reports.
The north London side are widely thought to have failed in their attempts to lure Vardy to The Emirates after lodging a bid in the region of £20m for the Leicester striker.
Vardy has maintained that he will not make a decision about his future until after his involvement in Euro 2016 with England, however he is expected to turn down a move to The Emirates.
That is likely to prompt Arsenal to look elsewhere for attacking reinforcements, and Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli is reporting that the Gunners are pondering a bid for Batshuayi.
He tweeted:
With Vardy remaining at Leicester, Arsenal new target will be Michy Batshuayi. #afc

The 22-year-old Marseille striker scored 17 goals and made nine assists in Ligue 1 last season from 36 games in the French top flight.
