Bayern Munich boss reacts to transfer talk about Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil
Carlo Ancelotti says Bayern Munich's transfer business for the summer is over...
Carlo Ancelotti has moved to play down suggestions that Bayern Munich could be lining up a summer transfer swoop to sign Mesut Ozil from Arsenal this summer.
Ozil has been one of the Premier League’s star players since arriving at Arsenal from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
The Arsenal playmaker helped the north London side win the FA Cup in his first two seasons at the club but his 19 assists in the Premier League last season were unable to propel his side to the title.
It has been suggested in the media that Ozil could be a summer transfer target for Bayern, who are preparing for life under new manager Ancelotti.
However, the Bayern boss has moved to end that speculation by insisting that his transfer business for the summer is already over.
Ancelotti is quoted as saying by Metro: “We’ve already bought two players, two great reinforcements, and they’re enough for us.
“I think our market is closed [for the summer]. We won’t look to make other changes to the team.”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season, 10 points behind champions Leicester City.
