Carlo Ancelotti is backing Antonio Conte to be a success at Chelsea in the seasons to come.
The Italian was appointed as the west London club’s new manager earlier in the year and is set to officially take charge at Stamford Bridge after Euro 2016.
Conte has been drafted in as the permanent replacement for Jose Mourinho at the west London club after the Portuguese coach was sacked by the Blues back in December.
Former Chelsea boss Ancelotti has revealed that he is keen admirer of the Italian manager and is backing Conte to be a success at Stamford Bridge.
Ancelotti is quoted as saying by the FourFourTwo: “Conte is a hard worker: really serious, really professional and always focused on his job.
“Chelsea are getting a top manager who will look at all the little details,’ the new Bayern Munich manager added.
“Coming to England from Italy, he will find a different world: less pressure, no violence, a great atmosphere, full stadiums – just totally different from Italy at this moment. He can definitely be a success at Chelsea.”
Conte has enjoyed plenty of success at club level, having guided Juventus to three successive Serie A title.
Ancelotti is a fan’s favourite at Chelsea after having won the Premier League and FA Cup during the first of two seasons in west London between 2009 and 2011.
