Chelsea blow as £50m Premier League striker set to receive massive pay increase – report
Everton are ready to offer Chelsea target Romelu Lukaku a lucrative new contract, according to Daily Mail
Everton are ready to offer Romelu Lukaku a bumper contract in an attempt to dissuade the striker from returning to Chelsea this summer, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The Belgium international has been linked with a £50m return to former employers Chelsea this summer after Everton’s dismal end to the 2015/16 Premier League season.
The Toffees have appointed Ronald Koeman as Roberto Martinez’s successor after the Spanish manager paid the price for the Merseyside outfit’s woeful performances in the second half of the campaign.
Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to secure regular Champions League football next term despite Chelsea and Manchester United leading the race to sign the towering striker.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Everton are ready to offer Lukaku a lucrative £100,000-a-week contract in an attempt to keep the Belgium international at Goodison Park.
Lukaku scored 18 times in 37 Premier League appearances last season.
