Chelsea hope to beat Arsenal to signing of star striker – report

Alvaro Morata could be on his way to Chelsea this summer, according to reports

Chelsea are confident of beating Arsenal and Manchester United in the race to sign Alvaro Morata from Juventus this summer, according to reports.

The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea all thought to be keen on luring him to England.

Arsenal, however, could be set to strengthen their striking options with a bid to sign Jamie Vardy from Leicester City.

And the London Evening Standard is reporting that Chelsea feel confident of being able to lure Morata to England – because he wants to live in the English capital.

Morata has also been touted as a target for United in recent days as Jose Mourinho bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

However, the latest reports suggest that Morata would only consider a move to Old Trafford if the Red Devils don’t sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
