Ricardo Carvalho has admitted that he is not happy to see Jose Mourinho take over at Manchester United this summer.
The former Chelsea defender was a regular fixture in the Blues’ first team under Mourinho during his first spell at the club as the coach led them to back to back Premier League titles.
Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December after his second spell at the club was cut short after their disastrous start to the season.
The Portuguese coach has since been appointed as United’s new manager on a three-year contract following the dismissal of Louis van Gaal.
And former Chelsea man Carvalho admits that he was not pleased to see Mourinho move to the Blues’ Premier League rivals last month.
Carvalho is quoted as saying by Metro: “I played for Chelsea and still have pride in the club, so I didn’t want to see Jose at United. No one at Chelsea did.
“He is our Special One and I’m sure he will always have pride in Chelsea.
“But, of course, he is a professional coach and has to go to work.”
Mourinho led Chelsea to the Premier League title and League Cup in the 2014-15 season after his return to Stamford Bridge.
