Juventus are eyeing up Chelsea and Liverpool target Shkodran Mustafi, according to Gazzetta World
Chelsea and Liverpool are facing competition from Juventus in the race to sign Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to Gazzetta World.
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is keen to bolster his defensive options ahead of Uruguay international Martin Caerces anticipated departure this summer after four years in Turin.
Mustafi, who started his professional career at Liverpool’s rivals Everton despite failing to make an appearance for the Toffees, spent two seasons at Sampdoria between 2012 and 2014.
The 24-year-old has impressed for reigning world champions Germany at Euro 2016 after he assisted Toni Kroos for the Real Madrid midfielder’s goal in a 2-0 victory over Ukraine.
According to Gazzetta World, Serie A champions Juventus are interested in brining back Mustafi to the Italian top flight this summer as Allegri looks to bolster his defensive options.
The Germany centre-half has scored six times in 78 appearances in all competitions for Valencia since his move to Los Che from Sampdoria in 2014.
