Chelsea make approach for £23.8m Inter Milan defender – report
Chelsea have made contact with Inter Milan over Jeison Murillo, according to reports in Italy
Chelsea have made an approach for Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo, according to reports in Italy.
The 24-year-old defender was a regular fixture in the Inter side last season as he racked up 35 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit.
Murillo, who scored a credible two goals in 34 top-flight games in his first season in Italy, moved to Inter from Spanish side Granada last summer.
Italy head coach Antonio Conte is set to take over the reins of Chelsea following Euro 2016 and the ex-Juventus manager has been linked with a host of Serie A defenders since his appointment was confirmed earlier this year.
According to Italian website Calciomercato, Chelsea could capitalise on Inter’s financial difficulties after making an approach for the Colombia defender.
Murrilo, who has previously played for Udinese and Las Palmas, has scored one goal in 17 appearances for the Colombia national team since making his debut in 2014.
