Chelsea are readying a bid to sign Zenit Saint Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay, say reports

Chelsea are preparing a bid to sign Zenit Saint Petersburg defender Ezequiel Garay, according to reports.

The west London club have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks but are yet to make any official signings as they prepare for Antonio Conte’s first season in charge at the club.

Conte is believed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements as he prepares for his first taste of management in the Premier League.

Now, Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Chelsea are weighing up a bid for the Argentina defender this summer.

The same report goes on to say that the Argentina international would be available for a fee of around £8.2m this summer and that he is also attracting interest from Inter Milan.
