Chelsea target accepts £130,000-a-week deal to be Conte’s first signing – report
Leonardo Bonucci is closing in on a transfer to Chelsea this summer, according to reports
Leonardo Bonucci has accepted a contract worth £130,000 a week to sign for Chelsea this summer, according to reports.
The Blues have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks as Antonio Conte prepares for his first season in charge of the west London club.
Bonucci is currently on duty with Italy and Conte at Euro 2016 and has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent days.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in luring the Juventus defender to England this summer.
However, The Sun is now reporting that Bonucci has decided that a move to Stamford Bridge is the right one for him.
The same report says that Chelsea are yet to agree a transfer fee with Juventus for the player, despite the defender having accepted Chelsea’s offer of a contract.
It goes on to say that the Blues are prepared to lodge a bid worth £32m to land their man.
