Chelsea to make £20m defender Antonio Conte’s first signing – report
Chelsea are ready to make a £20m bid to sign Antonio Rudiger from Roma, say reports
Chelsea are ready to table a £20m (€27m) bid to bring Roma defender Antonio Rudiger to the club, according to reports.
Antonio Conte is understood to have already drawn up a list of summer transfer targets as he prepares for his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are believed to be on the lookout for a number of defensive reinforcements ahead of what is likely to be John Terry’s last season at the club.
Now, the Daily Star is reporting that Chelsea are ready to go ahead with a £20m bid to bring Rudiger to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The same report goes on to say that Chelsea have already agreed a five-year contract with the defender ahead of the transfer.
Chelsea are expected to be one of the busiest Premier League clubs in the summer transfer window after their disastrous season led to Jose Mourinho’s sacking back in December.
