Chelsea want to conclude £40m signing this week – report

Chelsea are keen to wrap up the signing of Alvaro Morata from Juventus this week, say reports

Chelsea want to wrap up a £40m deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Juventus before the start of Euro 2016, according to reports.

The striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks, with Arsenal believed to be the English club most interested in securing his signature.

Morata has long been a transfer target for incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after initially being lined up to join him at Juventus two summers ago.

Now, the Guardian is reporting that Conte is keen to bring Morata to Stamford Bridge this summer and is looking to wrap up a deal before the tournament kicks off in France on Friday.

The same newspaper story goes on to say that Chelsea are looking for attacking reinforcements after having released Radamel Falcao and Alexandre Pato from their loan spells at Stamford Bridge.
