Eden Hazard gives latest update on Chelsea future ahead of Antonio Conte arrival
Eden Hazard insists he had no problem with Jose Mourinho and wants to stay at Chelsea this summer
Eden Hazard has insisted that he never had a problem with Jose Mourinho before the Portuguese coach was sacked by Chelsea back in December.
Mourinho was given his marching orders by the west London club late last year after his Chelsea side endured a disastrous start to the new season.
Hazard and his Chelsea team-mates came in for plenty of criticism for failing to deliver consistent performances last season as the Blues missed out on European qualification.
However, the 25-year-old playmaker insists that he did not have a problem with Mourinho and said that all of the difficulties from last season stemmed from his struggles on the pitch.
Speaking to L’Equipe, Hazard said: “People can say what they want about my relationship with him.
“The difficulties I had with him came at a time when I was not playing well.
“But, deep down, I never wanted to see Mourinho fired. We experienced some very beautiful things together in 2015.
“This year was less good, but I have recovered from that and I want to stay at Chelsea. I like London and I have a couple of years left on my contract.”

Mourinho was not out of work for long following his sacking by Chelsea, with the Portuguese coach now gearing up for his first season in charge at Manchester United after signing a three-year deal with the Red Devils last month.
