Eredivisie striker admits he wants transfer amid Arsenal reports
Vincent Janssen admits that he would be open to a transfer away from AZ Alkmaar this summer
Vincent Janssen has admitted that he would be keen to secure a summer transfer away from AZ Alkmaar amid reports he could be set to join Arsenal.
The north London side have been linked with a host of attacking players since the end of the season as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his front line ahead of next season.
Arsenal are said to be closing in on the signing of Jamie Vardy from Leicester City as Wenger bids to revamp his squad over the summer.
Janssen has also been touted as a possible target for the north London side after scoring 27 goals in 34 league games last season.
Now, his latest comments could indicate that he would be open to a transfer to Emirates Stadium should Arsenal come after his services.
Janssen is quoted as saying by Metro: “I want to make a step, that is clear. But there is no white smoke just now.
“England? We will see. Maybe something will happen in the holidays. I will take my phone with me anyway.”
Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last season, 10 points behind champions Leicester City.
