Former Liverpool defender tells Jurgen Klopp to sign £20m France midfielder

Liverpool should target Leicester City midfielder N'Golo Kante, according to Stephen Warnock

Stephen Warnock has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to sign Leicester City midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a host of top clubs over the past month, including Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United.

However, Chelsea are the latest club to reportedly put together a big offer for the Premier League winner as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his Blues squad.

But former Liverpool defender Warnock is hoping that Klopp moves to sign the France star in a bid to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Kante was part of the France side that secured a 2-1 win over Romania and a 1-0 victory over Albania in their opening two games of Euro 2016.

Les Bleus will face Switzerland in their final Group A.
