Gonzalo Higuain delivers Arsenal, Liverpool transfer update

Gonzalo Higuain adresses his future amid speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool

Gonzalo Higuain says he is focused on the Copa America amid reports linking the striker with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool this summer.

The Argentina international is one of the most-coveted strikers in this summer’s transfer window after an impressive season with Serie A outfit Napoli.

Higuain set a new record as he scored 36 times in 35 Serie A games for the Naples outfit, who finished in second place in the table.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a big-money transfer for the South American forward, while Arsenal have also been touted as a possible destination for the Argentinian.

However, the Napoli forward insists he is concentrating on Copa America this summer before contemplating his long-term future at the Serie A side or elsewhere.

“All those people in Naples must remain calm,” Higuain is quoted as saying by Daily Express.

“I’m calm, but now I’m just thinking about the national team. We’re just one step away from the final.”

Higuain’s Argentina side will face USA in the quarter-finals of the Copa America on Tuesday evening.
