Gonzalo Higuain delivers update about his future amid Liverpool transfer talk

Gonzalo Higuain is giving nothing away about his future amid talk of a transfer to Liverpool this summer

Gonzalo Higuain has refused to be drawn into discussing his future beyond the summer as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Liverpool.

The Argentina international has long been linked with a transfer to the Premier League, with Arsenal having been touted as a possible destination for the forward last summer.

The speculation linking Liverpool with a summer swoop for Higuain gathered pace earlier this week after Jurgen Klopp was spotted in the stands watching Argentina in action against Chile.

However, the Napoli forward has refused to be drawn into discussing his future and says he will only think about next season after his involvement in the Copa America with Argentina.

Higuain is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News HQ: “I’m only thinking about the national team.

“We’ll talk after the Copa.”
