Jamie Vardy verbally agrees lucrative Arsenal transfer – report

Jamie Vardy has verbally agreed to join Arsenal in a deal worth £120,000 a week, says reports

Jamie Vardy has verbally agreed a £120,000-a-week contract offer from Arsenal, according to reports.

The north London side have been heavily linked with a move to bring the Leicester City star to the club after the Gunners reportedly triggered the £20m release clause in his contract with the Foxes.

Vardy is thought to be mulling over his options after flying out to France with the England squad as they begin their preparations for Euro 2016.

Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Vardy has verbally agreed a contract with Arsenal worth £120,000 a week for three years, with the option to extend the deal by a further year.

There has been no decision from the striker as he continues to ponder his options, but the newspaper report goes on to say that England boss Roy Hodgson wants the striker to resolve his future as quickly as possible.
