Jamie Vardy’s wife comments on striker’s proposed transfer to Arsenal
Jamie Vardy's wife delivers the latest update about the striker's proposed move to Arsenal this summer
Jamie Vardy’s wife Rebekah has insisted that the Leicester striker will make the right decision about his future as he continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
The 29-year-old England international is understood to be the subject of a £20m bid from the north London side as Arsene Wenger goes about revamping his squad ahead of next season.
Arsenal are thought to have triggered the £20m release clause in the forward’s Leicester contract and offered the striker a four-year deal worth around £120,000 a week to move to The Emirates.
Vardy, however, appears to be in no rush to make a decision about his future and is understood to be ready to wait until after his involvement in Euro 2016 to make his decision.
And Vardy’s wife has insisted that the player will have the final say on where he will be playing his football next season.
Speaking on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on Friday, she said: “Listen, all I can say is Jamie is a grown man, whatever he decides will be right for him in all terms.
“Whether it’s the right decision or the wrong decision or indifferent. It’s his decision and only he can make that.”
