The north London side are believed to be on the lookout for attacking reinforcements as Arsene Wenger bids to transform the Gunners into title contenders next season.

Arsenal have already signed Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach as Wenger looks to revamp his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Now, it appears that Vardy could be set to become the club’s second signing of the summer as Arsenal look to build on their second-placed finish from last season.

However, former Arsenal man Hartson feels that the signing of Vardy will do little to appease the fans who have lost patience with Wenger at The Emirates.
