Jose Mourinho handed Man United funds to break transfer record – report

Jose Mourinho has the funds to beat the world transfer record at Manchester United, according to reports

Jose Mourinho has been given the necessary funds to smash the world transfer record this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils continue to be linked with a host of players as Mourinho prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.

Mourinho has already moved quickly to secure the signing of defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal to shore up his defensive options at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese coach’s next priority is believed to be bolstering his attacking options at Old Trafford as he looks to add more firepower to his squad.

Now, the Manchester Evening News is reporting that the former Chelsea boss has significant funds at his disposal this summer and is equipped to break the world transfer record of £87.5m should he so wish.

Among United’s reported targets are striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
