Manchester United are keen to sign right-back Fabinho from Monaco this summer, say reports
Manchester United have joined the race to sign Fabinho from Monaco in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The Red Devils are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings as Jose Mourinho prepares for his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
United have already wrapped up a deal to bring defender Eric Bailly to the club as Mourinho’s first signing since taking charge.
Now, The Sun is reporting that United are prepared to try and make Brazilian defender Fabinho Mourinho’s second acquisition at Old Trafford.
The same report states that both Napoli and Barcelona are interested in signing the right-back in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old can also play in midfield and featured in 47 games in all competitions for Monaco last season, scoring eight goals and making five assists for his team-mates.
Mourinho has been tasked with restoring United to the top of English football after their fifth-placed finish last season.
