Jose Mourinho ready to give this Man United star a chance – report

Jose Mourinho is prepared to give Juan Mata a chance to prove himself at Manchester United next season, according to reports.

The Spaniard’s future at Old Trafford has been a relentless source of speculation since Mourinho was appointed as the club’s new manager last month.

Mourinho sold Mata to United when he was in charge of Chelsea back in January 2014 and it has unsurprisingly been suggested that the Portuguese coach could be set to offload the playmaker once again as he bids to revamp his squad ahead of next season.

However, the Daily Express is now reporting that Mourinho is prepared to give Mata the chance to prove himself to him at Old Trafford next season.

The same report goes on to say that Mourinho has contacted the senior members of his new squad via text message to reassure them that they will get their chances to impress him next season.
